Dreamdata secures $4.4 million in Seed funding

I’m really proud to announce that Dreamdata has raised $4.4 million in our Seed round.

The round was led by InReach Ventures and Crowberry Capital, and counted with participation from existing prolific tech investors Seedcamp, Futuristic.vc and Preseed Ventures. A combination of investors which sets Dreamdata up perfectly for the next stage of our growth journey.

Over the last 12 months we have taken Dreamdata from proof-of-concept to a best-in-class B2B revenue attribution platform; helping our growing client list repeat success and stop waste. 

We are especially proud of achieving this at a time of financial distress for many. In fact, Dreamdata has played an important role in empowering marketers and growth leaders to make data-driven decisions on their business-critical activities.

We understand that the biggest challenge facing B2B marketers is connecting their activities to revenue. There are just too many touchpoints and people involved in buying decisions (which can span months) to accurately make that connection.

The B2B Attribution Blackhole

At its core, B2B marketers and growth professionals lack data transparency in their long and complex customer journeys to repeat success and stop waste.

To try and solve this, many companies rely on attribution systems that are stitched together in Excel from a mix of B2C tools (e.g. Google Analytics and Facebook attribution).

However, this patchwork of inadequate B2C tools offers a skewed and incomplete view of the revenue reality. And does little to provide transparency to the long and complex B2B sale cycle.

The Dreamdata Solution

Dreamdata brings to market a solution designed specifically for B2B. A product that replaces disjointed semi-solutions and helps understand the full value of actions. One which is continually developed, and crucially, doesn’t drain internal resources.

We pull together all relevant data by introducing a smart on-site behavioural tracking script and integrating all relevant commercial data from CRM, Automations, and Customer Success tools.

In fact, Dreamdata integrates with just about every commercial tool and traffic source, so our customers’ teams aren’t forced to use only certain vendors or suites. Dreamdata users are free to use best-in-class tools!

The algorithms in our out-of-the-box platform then join, clean and sort the data before transforming it into easy-to-digest, actionable insights. This gives B2B marketers unprecedented clarity of the customer journey, and enables them to focus on which B2B go-to-market efforts are actually paying off.

With our seed funding, we are now ready to shift up a gear and accelerate B2B growth by bringing our best-in-class revenue attribution platform to an ever-greater number of companies. The investment will fuel our expansion and consolidate our position in the B2B revenue attribution category.

We’ll be doing this in three important ways: product, awareness, team.

  • Product: The Dreamdata platform will continue to be developed to ensure B2B revenue leaders and specialists have everything they need to repeat success and stop waste. 
    This means that we will double down on Dreamdata’s unique, and already highly popular, features. But also bring new cutting-edge features to life, like our Deal Analytics and Customer Journey features.

  • Awareness: At the same time, we will be further expanding our demand gen and awareness efforts.
    In the current economic climate it’s more important than ever for businesses to efficiently allocate resources. We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring B2Bs understand Dreamdata’s undisputed value in delivering this.

  • Team: The core of Dreamdata’s success comes down to continually employing exceptionally talented people. To deliver our ambitious goals, we will be bringing more talent onboard - are you part of Dreamdata’s future? - and together we’ll make Dreamdata’s next chapter another success!

Attribution is a business problem not a marketing problem

The Dreamdata journey has shown that the B2B attribution game is very different to B2C. 

B2B marketers and growth people are out on a limb. Not tracking B2B’s long and complex sales cycles means they don’t have reliable data on what actually drives revenue. Without this, business critical decisions are being taken on an incomplete picture.
