Fall fun at Dreamdata

Working hard at your job is important - everybody knows that. 

But what’s equally important is having time dedicated to relaxing and having fun when the working day is over. This includes having fun with your colleagues!

Building team spirit doesn’t just come out of nowhere - you have to set aside time to get to know and have a good time with the people you spend most of your waking hours with.

So with that said, as winter fast approaches it’s time again to check in with the Dreamdata team to see what exciting after-work activities they've been getting up to.

The sunny days of summer may be over, but the fun goes on at Dreamdata!

First up on the list:

Go-Karting

To kick off the autumn activities we headed to the racetrack for some 65 km/h racing action.

In a grand prix style race, we battled over the course of an hour in Denmark's only electric-powered go-karts, to find out who in our team has hidden racing talent inside them.

Who needs Formula One when you can experience some high-speed, adrenaline-filled fun with your teammates?!

After releasing our inner race-car drivers and discovering the Dreamdata champions (pictured below!), we rounded off the day on a calmer note with some drinks and snacks in the sun.

DHL race

Among the 200,000 people competing in the biggest fitness run in the world, you could find Team Dreamdata, who this year offered 2 teams to the race. 

With 5 runners per team (each running 5km before passing the baton to the next runner) it was a battle of speed and endurance against the other team and the thousands of other runners to see who would come out on top. 

With the help of some cold drinks, tasty snacks, and a stunning sunset (as well as getting to cheer on our runners) it was a good day out even for those not taking part in the race.

Whilst we weren’t the champions of speed this time round, all the runners did a fantastic job!  We will definitely attend again next year with even faster times and more teams!

Paintball

For our next social event, we stuck with the adrenaline theme…

There’s nothing like healthy competition between colleagues to keep things exciting, which is precisely why we headed for the paintball area for some competitive (paintball) shooting fun! 

After splitting into teams - it was game on! 

We played games including capture the flag and elimination until all our ammunition and time was used up. While it was an exhausting 2 hours (not to mention countless bruises all round) it was all worth it for the dopamine rush and the BBQ and drinks that followed!

Wine tasting

As a self confessed wine lover, I can think of few better ways to spend an evening than with masses of wine, cheese and good company.

Together with our sommelier, we took a relaxed and informative taste trip through Europe, with a great selection of whites, reds, and bubbles that offered something to please every palate. 

Of course, no wine tasting would be complete without being paired with an equally impressive range of cheeses, crackers, and charcuterie to help the wine go down!

Tivoli Trip

At the heart of Copenhagen lies Tivoli Gardens. 

First opened in 1843, it is one of the go-to places in Copenhagen for an exciting day out. Within its walls, you can find roller coasters, restaurants, concerts and plays - but it’s also nice for simply taking a walk and admiring the seasonal decorations. 

This was the setting for our company trip to celebrate the whole team's contribution to making October the best month ever at Dreamdata. 

We had the biggest deal, the best month ever in revenue, as well as a few notable announcements - including becoming SOC2 compliant and releasing our new free plan, Digital Analytics!

The evening was kicked off with a three-course meal in the classic Tivoli restaurant of Grøften (146 years old and still going strong!).

And then with our stomachs filled and unlimited ride passes in hand, we made the most of the gardens with a try of the many roller coasters!

Sugar and spice and everything nice!

It’s always nice to receive acknowledgement on your birthday and special occasions, and here at Dreamdata, we try to let our team members know we are thinking of them on their special days with the birthday flag, celebratory wishes, and the occasional cake here and there! 

On top of this, there’s always fresh fruit and snacks available, cake on Thursdays, and more sweet treats when our baking-loving team brings them in!

This year also marked the 4 anniversary of Dreamdata, and with 2 new members added to the expanding team, we celebrated and welcomed them to the team with a company breakfast.

Congratulations to Dreamdata for turning 4, and here’s to many more birthdays to come!
