Introducing Dreamdata’s own IP-to-Company Resolution tech

We’re excited to announce that we’ve built our own IP-to-company resolution engine to further boost our leading B2B tracking solution.

This release is available on ALL plans (including Free) and marks a big leap forward in the accuracy and performance of our company resolution engine, helping identify up to 15x more companies than before. And it’s already delivering match rates of up to 80%!

Our B2B tracking solution just got better

Until now, Dreamdata has supported company resolution through both our own tracking infrastructure (including cookieless) and ‘hybrid’ intent data from external providers like 6sense, Clearbit, and more. This approach has helped our customers connect website activity to companies across a variety of sources (more on this in the next section).

But we saw room for even further improvement, especially in those moments when intent data from the external providers has been unavailable or inconsistent.

So, we built our own IP-to-company resolution technology - available on all Plans (including Dreamdata Free!)

Our proprietary tech blends public domain registries, WHOIS data, external data sources, and our own extensive analytics infrastructure, refined through years of analyzing B2B behavior across thousands of accounts.

The result: better coverage, higher match rates, and greater consistency in identifying which companies are visiting your site.

Let’s take a closer look.

Our new IP-to-company tech is a key part of our comprehensive layered approach to B2B tracking

By aggregating multiple datasets, from WHOIS and domain registries, and applying our proprietary data modeling, the new Dreamdata resolution engine creates a lookup engine that automatically activates when other data sources fall short.

Interestingly, we have found that there’s very little overlap between intent providers, less than 10%, meaning adding a second (or third) integration can improve total coverage.

Dreamdata currently supports plug-and-play integrations with 6sense, Clearbit, Demandbase, RollWorks, Dealfront, ZoomInfo, and more - each contributing data to the mix.

Even without an external intent provider in place (incorporated through our Hybrid intent feature), Dreamdata’s engine can identify a significant share of your traffic. But when layered on top of hybrid intent, your visibility skyrockets.

And that’s a key point here. This release is a new and critical part of our already leading B2B tracking solution that combines:

  • First-party tracking: Our tracking script collects consent-based user behavior and offers a fallback cookieless account analytics tracking option. When a visitor submits a form, we enrich that data with their email and associate it back to the company, forming the basis of our customer journey analytics.

  • Proprietary IP-to-company resolution: As announced above, this newest layer fills in the gaps in IP resolution data from existing platforms. It runs automatically in the background as part of our out-of-the-box tracking solution.

  • Hybrid intent integrations: We still fully support integrations with leading intent platforms like Clearbit, 6sense, Leadfeeder, and more. What’s surprising is the low overlap between providers (as mentioned above, typically less than 10%), so combining them with Dreamdata’s engine gives you much broader coverage.

  • Second-party data from LinkedIn and G2: Intent signals from LinkedIn Ads and G2 reveal which companies are interacting with your brand and researching your product, even before they hit your CRM.

All of this is unified under Dreamdata’s account-based model, where data from multiple stakeholders at the same company is aggregated into the most complete B2B customer journey map anywhere.

What you can expect: better match rates!

The ability to resolve anonymous web traffic into known companies is foundational for effective B2B marketing.

With our new proprietary technology in place, we’re seeing 80% of our customers consistently achieve match rates between 20% and 60%, with some accounts reaching up to 80%.

This variability depends heavily on your audience - enterprise companies are more likely to use corporate IPs, while SMBs and remote workers often appear under harder-to-resolve.

But across the board, our customers are identifying significantly more companies than before. In fact, so far, customers leveraging both our new proprietary tech and our hybrid intent data sources are resolving up to 15x more companies.

Better Attribution and Activation

With more companies now being identified, this update enhances nearly every aspect of Dreamdata. More and earlier data means:

  • Greater attribution accuracy: By resolving companies sooner in the journey, Dreamdata can attribute touchpoints more precisely, giving you greater accuracy of what’s working, earlier in the process.

  • See more details in our Customer Journeys timeline: Early identification fills in gaps across sessions and stakeholders, giving you a more complete picture of how accounts actually progress.

  • Further boost our Reveal engine: Greater company identification helps boost our Reveal engine, which already helps identify the more than 41% of active companies not in the CRM.

  • Find more relevant companies for our Audiences: With a greater pool of identified companies, you are able to build larger, more relevant audiences and target them ahead of your competitors.

  • Identify signals from companies, earlier: Earlier company identification maximises the impact of our Signals engine to target the right accounts at the right time.

  • And more!

Available on all plans

Our new IP-to-company resolution engine is included in all Dreamdata plans, including Free. There’s no setup required and no extra cost. Just better data, better visibility, and better results.

For existing Dreamdata customers, the new IP-to-company has already been available and running since last week.
