How to use the Dreamdata Chrome Extension for smarter prospecting
Steffen Hedebrandt, Dreamdata’s CMO, shows you how to use the new Chrome Extension to bring powerful customer journey insights directly into your workflow, whether you’re prospecting on LinkedIn, working in your CRM, or browsing a company website.
Supplementary Guide
These steps allow you to replicate the recipe. For context, we recommend you watch the video above.
Step 1: Understanding what Dreamdata knows about your accounts
Before using the Chrome extension, it's important to understand the insights Dreamdata provides:
Customer Journey Timelines: Dreamdata unifies all your go-to-market data into a complete B2B customer journey map. These timelines show every touchpoint an account has with your brand, from first touch to closed deal.
Signals: Dreamdata Signals uses AI to scan all your GTM data and identify hidden intent signals that correlate with actual revenue.
Engagement Score: Automatically aggregates the signals you’ve chosen to track into a single score. The score reflects how engaged a company is with your brand.
Anonymous Traffic Resolution: Dreamdata’s IP-to-company engine can identify up to 80% of anonymous web traffic, so you get visibility into engaged accounts even if no one has filled out a form.
Step 2: Install the Dreamdata Chrome Extension
This is your first step and enables all the functionality shown in the video.
Once installed, the extension icon will appear in your Chrome toolbar.
Log in with your Dreamdata account and you’re good to go!
Step 3: Use the extension while browsing company websites
Once the extension is active, you can start researching companies directly from their websites.
Navigate to any company website.
Click the Dreamdata Chrome Extension icon.
You’ll see account data directly in the sidebar, including:
Firmographics like country, size, and industry.
Engagement score
Account owner
Signals the account has triggered (e.g., website visits, ad clicks)
You will also find direct links to the company’s customer journey in Dreamdata, as well as the company’s LinkedIn profile and its account in your CRM.
Step 4: Use the extension on LinkedIn
The extension also works on LinkedIn for efficient prospecting.
Visit a company’s LinkedIn page.
The Dreamdata extension will recognize the company automatically.
You get access to the same data as on the website, so you can review:
Account engagement score
Whether the account is being worked on, aka has an owner.
The signals that the account has triggered
Again, you can open the account’s customer journey in Dreamdata for deeper analysis.
Conclusion:
By installing and using the Dreamdata Chrome Extension, you bring account-level data directly into your daily browsing. Making it easier to qualify leads, understand engagement, and act faster. Whether you're on LinkedIn, in your CRM, or researching a company site, the extension ensures you’re never operating without data.
