5 steps for using Google Paid Search data for SEO

Here’s how we’ve been using Google Search Ads to do SEO that produces actual pipeline and revenue.

1. Go to your Dreamdata account.

2. Head to the Google Search Ads dashboard (Performance > Paid > Google Search Ads).

3. Group by Keywords using the filter.

4. Order the table by the deals column, and identify the keywords that generate the most sales pipeline.

5. Do a gap analysis of your content to identify which of these keywords you're not currently organically ranking for or could rank better.


This will help put an end to:

  • Guessing whether certain keywords hold buying intent or not

  • Chasing semi-irrelevant keywords just because a search engine tool showed that it had a large search volume associated.
